The level is 555.77 and is stable when there is no generation. It has dropped 5-1/2 feet in the last month. It is still hot, sunny and dry with high pressure. I went diving yesterday and did quite well. Fish are moving to the brush near the thermocline at 25-28 feet. I got some good walleye, catfish and crappie. The water really felt good. Walt and Kathy Trembly from Indianola, Iowa just left and I hope they had a good time. The pool was the center of attraction last evening and Norfork Lake Fun was had by all. Summer in the middle of September. The normal high is 83 degrees and it was 95. Looks to be back to normal by this weekend. I would really like to see some rain. I used to think the cooler weather brought the fish out of suspension and back to the brush but now I am not sure. They are sure doing it now and it is hot. Maybe it is just time. I saw some big crappie but not many of them. Smallmouth bass are shallower than the other fish at 20-22 feet. Lots of bass are showing up.
