It Was 63 degrees Yesterday With Sunny Skies And Light Southerly Winds

Another beautiful day today and tomorrow with cooler weather coming on Christmas Day. The lake level is 541.47 with little generation for two days with a surface temperature of 52 degrees. Josh, Joe and Kevin from Jennings Docks and Lifts came over and moved my dead men and installed some new badly needed cables. If you need any dock work that is the place. They are fast, have good equipment and are reasonably priced. I still have more to do but will finish that today. Will try to get some crappie fishing in today. With the moon getting big, light winds and high pressure I do not expect a banner day. There should be some active fish later on this afternoon. Sunday is a good day because most people are watching the football commercials and the lake is empty. Several people asked for more crappie while I was delivering Christmas presents so I had better find some. John and Drew Wisdom just left and several more are coming in next week. If we get a little snow it will cool the lake a bit.

  1. john says:

any fish on the brush piles? what is your thought when we get down there?

  2. Your boat is ready and plugged in. We need to air up the trailer tires. I would use minnows and spoons on brush piles and a grub on the bank part way back in the creeks for bass. The morning bite is the best but it looks to be cloudy so they may bite all day. You can also cast the 1/4 ounce spoon. Bink is on the big bass.
