The Wind Was Blowing 50-MPH Yesterday and My Internet Was down For Two Days

It broke one of my dock cables and I spent all day getting the dock back in good condition. I am installing some new cables this afternoon. It tried to blow me off the dock twice. We got 0.8 inches of rain but they generated all of that out as soon as it got in as usual and are generating hard as we speak. God Bless Them for they know not what they do. It is a beautiful day today and looks to stay sunny and in the 50’s until Christmas day. Our normal high is 45. The surface temperature has dropped to the high 40’s and the creeks are a little stained and are a good color for fishing. They closed the Robinson Point launch for the winter but Panther Bay is still open. Christmas is near and I am getting excited but nearly broke. I enjoy watching people open up a nice gift and watching their eyes.

I drove to the Henderson boat ramp(south side) yesterday and watched waves break on the bluff on the southwest side of Float Creek without the aid of binoculars. They must have been at least 4 feet high. Also there are 3 islands in view from that vantage point: the main one near the boat ramp @Robinson Point and two more very small ones south of it. One to the Southeast and the other to the Southwest. In my 60+ years of being on Norfork, I’ve never seen water this low although I’m sure I’ve missed some…probably in the early 50’s.

  2. It was 538 In 2006 which is 3-ft. lower than now. John Bower that used to own Panther Bay Marina showed me a picture of a dry Panther Bay with all of the Docks on Dry ground. I think it was in the early 70’s. Hopefully they will not do that to us again. This has nothing to do with drought. We have received about normal rainfall for 2012. It is all about the money and special interests not flood control.
